Minä Perhonen: Jellybeans + Tambourine · A6 Original Cover for Hobonichi Techo
minä perhonen creates timeless, all-original garment textiles that are specially dyed, embroidered, and woven to recreate hand-drawn designs.
Created is a techo cover using two textiles: “jellybeans,” which once appeared in the Hobonichi Techo lineup, and “tambourine,” which has been popular among many. The playful design features two shapes of “circles” that happily overlap: the fluffy, sweet-looking watercolor drops and embroidered dotted circles.
The material is linen and pleasant to the touch. The “tambourine” embroidery adds a fun touch. The butterfly-stopper pen holders and cover interior are a refreshing light blue. Two dotted lace bookmarks are attached. Each cover contains a unique arrangement of the pattern. We hope you enjoy your one-of-a-kind cover.
The Hobonichi Techo is used by pairing a techo book with a cover. Please note this purchase is for the cover only. Pick out a Hobonichi Techo Book here!
About minä perhonen
minä perhonen is a brand created by designer Akira Minagawa.
First founded in 1995 under the name minä, and renamed “minä perhonen” in 2003. In Finnish, “minä” means “I,” and “perhonen” means “butterfly,” expressing Minagawa’s hopes to create designs as light-hearted and beautiful as a butterfly’s flapping wings.
