Kakimori Nib Holder · White Sakura Wood

Kakimori nib holders are crafted from Japanese cherry wood, using both the heartwood and sapwood. The heartwood is the darker, redder core of the wood, while sapwood is the whiter outer layer of the trunk. They choose to work with both parts of the wood to honour the whole material and minimise wastage.

This nib holder is designed to universal specifications to fit a standard nib of your choice. 

Like the wood grain, colour variations are part of the natural and unique charm of wood. Each nib holder is unique and one of a time.

Use and Care:

• Due to the nature of the material and treatment, grain and colour will vary between pieces.
• If marked with ink, wipe clean with a soft, clean cloth.
• When removing the nib from the nib holder, gently pull it out while turning to avoid dislodging the nib mount.
• After rinsing, shake well in a downward motion to remove any water or ink from the nib mount before inserting a nib.
