Out of the Hobonichi original accessories, the Hobonichi Pencil Board is one of the most popular items. Keeping it underneath the page you’re writing on allows the reinforcement to provide an enjoyable writing experience. These three pencil boards―one for each Hobonichi Techo size―were born from a collaboration with the digital handheld pet Tamagotchi, which took the world by storm after its 1996 release. The Tamagotchi series continues to be loved across generations, and all three designs are based on the nostalgic illustrations made in the 90’s.

The A6 size Blast Off to Outer Space! is arranged with the UFO used in the toy’s packaging taking center stage. The back has a yellow background with Tamagotchis printed in a colorful, cheerful design.

The A5 size Tamagotchi Land is printed with an illustration of this theme park filled with the charm of the Tamagochi world from the 90’s. On the back, a Hyururun UFO is flying across a blue background.

The Weeks size 90’s Tamagotchi looks like it was pasted all over with stickers from when the series first released. The back comes in a green shade and is printed with Tarakotchi’s daily routine.

The back has markings at 1mm intervals along the long edge, so it can also be used as a ruler.

The corner of the pencil boards include a “Today” tab, which will act as a bookmark to show which day you’re on if you put it between the pages of your techo.
